The regiment does not exist on its own. It is a member of the King’s Army. For large displays the King’s Army joins up with the Roundhead Association, who provide the opposition. These large events are organised by the English Civil War Society.

Within the regiment one can adopt various different roles. These are not fixed, members often change depending on the event, or just because they fancy doing something different. Beginners are encouraged to try as many as they feel like, until they find where they fit best.
