About the new membership form
Why have we changed the system?
For the last five or six years, we have been asking people to download a Word or PDF file to fill in and email back to the membership secretary (currently Rachel), who then has to copy the data into her records. This new system will remove the need for most of that and will provide the data in a form making it much easier to process.
How safe is my data?
Your data is encrypted when being transferred from your computer to the webpage. This is why the page is not hosted on the regimental website, but uses the ECWS one which provides that extra security.
All the data you enter on the form will be sent to the membership secretary.
If you have stated that you hold a shotgun or firearms certificate or a first aid certificate, an email will be sent to the relevant person (currently George or Chips) with your name, which certificates you hold and your email address. You still need to ensure that they have copies of your up to date certificates as well. No other data will be included in that email.
No data is stored on the website.
I’m not happy with this new system. Is there an alternative?
If for any reason you cannot or do not want to use this system, please get in touch with the membership secretary to sort out an alternative.
What use does the regiment or army make of my data?
Please see the KA privacy statement.
