Karl Robinson - Leather Worker
I have been working with leather for twenty years and specialize in making historically accurate Medieval, Tudor and Stuart leatherwork for re-enactment, museums, theatre and the heritage industry.
All my work is made by hand using only the materials and techniques available to the craftsmen of the time. I only use leathers that were commonly available and dye and dress them using period recipes. Everything is hand sewn and all the designs are taken from surviving examples or from paintings and prints.
By working in the way the original craftsmen did my work has a very authentic look and feel to it that cannot be achieved with the modern leathers and methods used by many other leather workers.
If you can't find what you are looking for please contact me. I am happy to undertake commissions and I can alter any of the designs on this site to suit your preferences.

Kevin Garlick - Leather Worker
My name is Kevin Garlick and for several years I have been making shoes for re-enactors, films, theatres and museums. I have been in the re-enacting scene for many years, started in 1976, so I know what a shoe or boot has to go through. I make them for people with different budgets and authenticity needs.
Have a look at some of the footwear we make. I can't show every thing we have made, so if you need something different please send a photo or drawing and we will let you know if it can be done

Kitty Hats - Period Hats & Woolcrafts
Popular designs are Tricorns for eighteenth century pirates, highwaymen and soldiers. For those interested in the English Civil War period we make the classic black tall flat crowned, large brimmed hat. Also for Elizabethan re-enactors and those doing school displays are the tall crowned narrow brimmed style hats called Copotain.

Sarah Juniper - Shoes
My name is Sarah Juniper, I've been making shoes for over twenty five years and was the first to make re-enactment shoes in this country
Although trained as a designer I've learned a lot about feet and their owners over the years and am always interested to learn more about feet and shoe construction
I've always been happy to accept orders from people who have what they describe as\'problem feet' (though in my view hardly anyone has normal or regular feet). My areas of specialization are 1st - 4th Century Roman, very late Tudor (1580) through 17th C., 18th C. up to the early 19th C. These are periods of history where shoes were constructed with ‘heavier’ soles and the uppers took on a more shaped and tailored aspect.
