What facilities are available on the campsites?
Water, waste and toilets are always available, sometimes showers are provided too.
For caravan owners there are sometimes an Elsan point to empty toilet waste into. Note - caravan owners are forbidden to use the porta loos provided for the membership for the emptying of their toilet cassettes.
Does the regiment have campfires?
Yes & no depending on the customers requirements about our pressence on their campsite.If a fire is allowed this will be mentioned in the warning order for the event.
Does every campsite have a beer tent?
No - depending on the size of the event. Large majors with the whole society present do usually have a beer tent.
Smaller events usually do not.
Are there any rules on our campsites?
Yes - all campsites have a list of general rules relating to noise, traffic movements, traders, beer tent opening times camping distances requirement between tents/vans etc.
These rules are usually publicised before the event and maybe mentioned in the warning order. |
